Grandkids

My husband went on a TDY trip for his work and his daughter and family live just a couple of hours away from where he was. I was jealous that he got to see our daughter, son-in-law and 4 wonderful grandkids.

This is my son-in-law with his oldest girl on his lap. She is the same age as my Butterbean. My beautiful and wonderful other daughter. And here is all 4 of them together. I just wish I could have seen them too. I love you all so much and miss you a ton. While I was at it I thought I would add a picture of my son too. He is only 3 years younger than me. he he. He calls me Mom and remembers me on Mother's Day. I love it. I just wish they all lived closer so I could see them more. Hint Hint!

Randomness

I feel like I don't have time or feel up to blogging much lately. So while the kids are being quiet and good I thought I would do a random photo post for you.

I recently broke a cupboard door off and my baby loves to get in there. His brother decided to join in the fun this time.Lounging in the tub with the swim ring and eating a slice of pizza. Seriously what weirdo lets their kids do this?Helping Mom make cookies. I love that smile. And him trying to hold his pants up is a common scene in this house. Poor kid can't keep them up for anything.Playing peek-a-boo. So cute.Grandma came over and started building a snowman. So Butterbean went out to join her.

More and more isms

Butterbean was looking at an anatomy book at the doctor's office. She happened to be looking at page with the female anatomy. She pointed to it and said, "See Butterball? That is what our ear looks like." I tried not to snicker when I corrected her and told her what it really was. She looked at it with a disgusted face and said, "Ewww gross." The whole time I kept hoping she wouldn't glance at the next page which was the male anatomy. Whew! We were saved. She closed the book.

Butterball came up to me and said, "What dat noise?" I said, "What noise?" He said, "Dat noise dat go like hrdat hrdat hrdat." I smiled and told him that maybe it was a ghost. He said, "Yeah. Maybe it dat lion making dat noise." I said, "Yeah. Maybe the 'Lying Lion' that snuck into the cake and brownies earlier this week." He said, "Yep. Dat him." Later he saw something on the "nail room" door and had Butterbean investigate it. Butterbean smells literally EVERYTHING. So she sniffed it and confirmed it was poop. Guess who's poop it was? 'Dat lion'! So now we have a ghost lion that sneaks into our food, hides in our baskets, and poops on our doors?!?

The toilet was clogged today and while the kids were discussing it it had slowly drained and made that gurgle noise. They both looked at the toilet startled and Butterball explained that it was magic. I told him that it wasn't magic but that the toilet had just drained. He said, "No Heavenme Fader gave us magic in this house." Then I got the plunger out and fixed the toilet. And he said, "See. Heavenme Fader gave us that punger (with a hard G sound) and it magic and fix the toilet." Thank you Heavenly Father for our magic punger.

Butterball: "Why Butterbean not like me? Why she mean to me all the time? Why she do this stuff? She nice to me for 2 days and then she mean and won't let me in her room, or the bathroom, or nothing. Why she won't let me have fun with them?" Poor thing. It breaks my heart.

Butterbean had an earache and was crying. Butterball laid next to her and said, "I don't cry when I hurt. I only cry when you fight me. But I am a fighter boy you know that?" Then he sang songs to her and caressed her face and arm. It was so precious.

Butterball's dinner prayer, "Heavenme Fader, Bess the food and thank you. Bess that I will cean my room first so I get the trophy and Butterbean don't. And if she get her room cean first, bess me to knock her in the head." Oh brother.
